The Town of Belhaven, population 1,938 has the following positions available with excellent fringe benefits. Town Clerk

Responsibilities include attendance at all Council meetings, draft minutes for approval of Council, agenda packet compilation and distribution, custodian of public records, coordinates update of town charter and code, responsible for ads for legal notices, etc., keeper of records of cemeteries and the selling of plots, responsible for rental and use of public buildings/grounds, compiles information for update of website, answers and distributes phone calls and acts as the Town Manager and other department heads’ secretary and performs any other duties as specified by the Town Manager or as needed to assist with day to day office operations and utilities. Applicants must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent with 5 years office experience with any further administrative office degree a plus. Some travel will be necessary for certification. Salary will commensurate with experience. Belhaven is an EOE.
